Believers Medical Journal (BeMJ), the official journal of Believers Church Medical College & Hospital (BCMCH), is a scholarly publication dedicated to the advancement of medical knowledge, clinical research, healthcare practice, and interdisciplinary studies. The journal was launched with the blessings of His Grace The Most Rev. Dr. K.P. Yohannan, Metropolitan of the Believers Eastern Church, to provide a platform inspired by the Institution's Vision of "Bringing hope and healing with the love of Christ." It aims to serve as a credible academic venue where creative and scholarly work can be shared with like-minded people and organizations to support better healthcare outcomes.
Initially, this journal will cater to the scholarship capacity-building needs of in-house staff, students, and faculty, wherein they will receive hand-holding and support from their department HoDs and the Research and Medical Education department of BCMCH. Building on this foundation, the journal recognizes that modern healthcare requires continuous scientific inquiry, clinical innovation, ethical practice, and effective communication. BeMJ therefore encourages the publication of research that contributes to disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, patient safety, medical education, public health, and the improvement of healthcare delivery systems.
Believers Medical Journal welcomes scholarly work across a broad range of medical and health-related disciplines. Its coverage includes clinical medicine, surgery, nursing, pharmacy, public health, community medicine, medical laboratory science, allied health sciences, biomedical research, healthcare management, preventive medicine, diagnostic innovation, medical education, and emerging technologies in healthcare.
The journal seeks to promote research that is scientifically sound, ethically conducted, and relevant to the needs of patients, healthcare institutions, and society. It places importance on studies that present original findings, systematic evidence, practical clinical insights, or innovative approaches capable of improving medical practice and public health services.
Through the publication of original research articles, review articles, case reports, short communications, clinical studies, technical notes, perspectives, commentaries, and letters to the editor, Believers Medical Journal aims to strengthen academic dialogue among healthcare professionals and research communities. The journal also encourages interdisciplinary collaboration, especially in areas where medicine connects with technology, public policy, data science, laboratory diagnostics, biomedical engineering, and population health.
Believers Medical Journal is committed to supporting responsible scholarly communication and the ethical dissemination of medical research. Authors are expected to maintain originality, accuracy, transparency, proper citation practices, and compliance with relevant ethical requirements in the conduct and reporting of their work.
The journal aspires to become a valuable source of academic knowledge for individuals and institutions involved in medical research, clinical practice, healthcare education, and public health. By encouraging quality research and meaningful scientific exchange, Believers Medical Journal seeks to contribute to the ongoing development of medicine and the improvement of health and well-being worldwide.
