Believers Medical Journal (BeMJ) follows a structured and transparent editorial workflow designed to support research integrity, scientific quality, confidentiality, and ethical publication practices. Each manuscript is subject to editorial assessment and, where appropriate, external peer review in accordance with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and transparency principles reflected in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) criteria.
Authors submit manuscripts through the designated journal submission system and confirm, where applicable, that:

Submitted manuscripts undergo appropriate similarity screening using journal-approved detection tools. Similarity reports are evaluated by the editorial team and are not treated as the sole basis for an editorial decision. Manuscripts presenting concerns related to plagiarism, inappropriate text recycling, duplicate publication, or other publication-integrity issues may be returned to authors, rejected, or investigated in accordance with applicable journal policies and relevant COPE guidance.
Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial editorial assessment are normally assigned to at least two independent reviewers with appropriate subject expertise. The identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from one another to the extent reasonably possible. Peer review is conducted confidentially and objectively, without inappropriate influence from commercial, personal, or other external interests.
Reviewers may assess:

The Editor-in-Chief or handling editor evaluates the revised manuscript and may return it to the original reviewers when additional expert assessment is considered necessary before a final editorial decision is made.
Accepted manuscripts proceed through the journal's publication-production process, which may include:

Double-blind peer review by at least two independent subject experts, where external review is required.
Reviewer recommendations followed by editorial assessment.
