The journal takes all allegations of research misconduct, unethical publishing practices, plagiarism, authorship disputes, data falsification, duplicate submission, and conflicts of interest seriously. Appropriate action will be taken whenever concerns are identified before or after publication.
Authors submitting manuscripts to Believers Medical Journal must ensure that their work is original, accurate, ethically conducted, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts should not contain plagiarized material, fabricated data, manipulated images, misleading results, or previously published content without proper acknowledgment and permission.
Authors must provide accurate details of their research methods, results, references, funding sources, institutional affiliations, and any possible conflicts of interest. All individuals listed as authors must have made a meaningful contribution to the research, writing, analysis, or interpretation of the manuscript. Individuals who have not contributed substantially should not be listed as authors.
Where research involves human participants, patients, medical records, biological samples, or clinical data, authors must ensure that appropriate ethical approval has been obtained from the relevant ethics committee or institutional review board. Informed consent must be obtained where required, and patient privacy, confidentiality, and anonymity must be protected at all times.
All submitted manuscripts must be original and properly referenced. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all sources, ideas, data, figures, tables, and previously published material are accurately cited.
Plagiarism in any form, including direct copying, substantial similarity, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, and improper paraphrasing, is not acceptable. Manuscripts may be screened for similarity before or during the editorial process. Where significant plagiarism or unethical overlap is identified, the manuscript may be rejected, returned for clarification, or investigated further.
Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time. A manuscript that has already been published, accepted, or is under review elsewhere should not be submitted to Believers Medical Journal.
Authors must clearly disclose if any part of the submitted work has been presented previously as a conference paper, preprint, thesis, dissertation, abstract, poster, or institutional report. Such prior dissemination will be considered by the Editorial Office during evaluation.
Authors must present research findings honestly and accurately. Fabrication, falsification, selective reporting, inappropriate image manipulation, misleading data presentation, and intentional omission of relevant information are considered serious forms of misconduct.
Where necessary, authors may be asked to provide raw data, ethical approval documents, consent records, trial registration details, or other supporting materials to verify the integrity of the research. Failure to provide satisfactory clarification may result in rejection, correction, expression of concern, or retraction of a published article.
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, analysis, interpretation, or drafting of the work. All listed authors must approve the final manuscript and agree to its submission.
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all eligible contributors are appropriately acknowledged, that no inappropriate authors are included, and that all authors are informed of the submission. Any request to add, remove, or change the order of authors after submission must be supported by a clear explanation and written agreement from all affected authors.
Authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial staff must disclose any actual or potential conflict of interest that could influence the research, review process, editorial decision, or publication outcome. Conflicts may include financial relationships, institutional affiliations, personal relationships, professional competition, funding arrangements, or other circumstances that could affect impartiality.
Where a conflict of interest is identified, the journal will take appropriate steps to ensure a fair and transparent evaluation process.
Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the academic merit, originality, scientific quality, relevance, ethical compliance, and clarity of submitted manuscripts. Editorial decisions must not be influenced by the author’s nationality, gender, institutional affiliation, academic status, personal relationships, commercial interests, or any other non-academic factor.
Editors must maintain confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts and must not use unpublished material for personal research, benefit, or advantage. Editors should recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where a conflict of interest exists.
Reviewers play an essential role in maintaining the quality and integrity of the journal. Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively, confidentially, and constructively. They should provide evidence-based comments that help authors improve their work and support informed editorial decisions.
Reviewers must not disclose, copy, share, or use unpublished manuscript content for personal benefit. Reviewers who identify a conflict of interest, lack the required expertise, or are unable to complete the review objectively should decline the review invitation.
Believers Medical Journal is committed to preserving the accuracy of the scholarly record. Where errors are identified in a published article, the journal may publish a correction, corrigendum, erratum, expression of concern, or retraction, depending on the nature and seriousness of the issue.
