The journal provides an academic platform for the publication of original, ethically conducted, and scientifically relevant research that contributes to medical knowledge, clinical practice, patient care, healthcare delivery, and public health improvement. Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts that demonstrate originality, methodological soundness, clarity of reporting, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
Believers Medical Journal considers the following categories of submissions:
Authors should ensure that their manuscript is prepared carefully and complies with the journal’s submission requirements. Each manuscript should be original, unpublished, and not under review or consideration by another journal at the time of submission.
Authors must ensure that all information presented in the manuscript is accurate, properly referenced, and supported by appropriate evidence. Any use of previously published material, including figures, tables, images, questionnaires, or substantial text, must be accompanied by proper citation and, where necessary, written permission from the copyright holder.
The manuscript should normally include the following components:
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, drafting, or revision of the manuscript. All listed authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission to Believers Medical Journal.
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all eligible contributors are included as authors, that no ineligible person is listed as an author, and that all authors are aware of and approve the submission.
Research involving human participants, patients, medical records, clinical samples, or identifiable personal information must comply with applicable ethical standards. Authors must obtain approval from an appropriate ethics committee or institutional review board where required.
Authors should include details of ethical approval in the manuscript. Written informed consent must be obtained where necessary, especially for case reports, clinical images, patient information, or identifiable data. Patient names, photographs, hospital identification numbers, and other identifying information must not be published without appropriate consent.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are original and free from plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabricated data, falsified results, and inappropriate image manipulation. All sources of information, ideas, data, figures, and text must be properly acknowledged through accurate citation and referencing.
The journal may screen manuscripts for similarity and may request clarification, supporting documents, or revisions where concerns regarding originality or research integrity arise.
All submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine whether they are complete, relevant to the journal’s scope, and suitable for further consideration. Eligible manuscripts are then subject to the journal’s double-blind peer-review process.
Authors may be requested to revise their manuscript in response to reviewer and editorial comments. Revised manuscripts should be submitted with a clear point-by-point response explaining how each comment has been addressed.
The final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection is made by the Editor or authorized Editorial Board member based on the manuscript’s academic quality, scientific validity, ethical compliance, relevance, and reviewer feedback.
Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, formatting, proofreading, and final editorial review before publication. Authors may receive a proof version of the article for final checking. At the proof stage, authors should review the content carefully and report only essential corrections related to factual accuracy, typographical errors, or formatting.
Major changes to authorship, study findings, conclusions, or manuscript content after acceptance may require further editorial consideration.
Authors are expected to cooperate with the Editorial Office throughout the submission, review, revision, and publication process. They should respond to editorial communication within the requested timeframe and provide accurate supporting information whenever required.
